Building on the success of the original Pico, the Pico 2 delivers faster processing, more memory, upgraded security, and enhanced interfacing, all while maintaining the same compact form factor and GPIO compatibility.
With dual-core Arm Cortex-M33 or dual RISC-V Hazard3 processors running at 150MHz, 520KB on-chip SRAM, and 4MB onboard QSPI flash, the Pico 2 is designed for speed and efficiency. It also introduces Arm TrustZone security, signed boot, hardware TRNG, SHA256 acceleration, and secure key storage, making it an excellent choice for both hobbyists and professional developers.
The board retains the same 21 × 51 mm form factor, 26 multifunction GPIO pins, USB 1.1 controller, and compatibility with existing Raspberry Pi Pico accessories. It’s programmable in C/C++ and MicroPython, with extensive documentation and SDK support.
